Have you ever been challenged to face your fears by trying something you had dreamed of doing for years? That is exactly what Anne Knorr did and tells us all about it in her tale, What Would I Do If I Wasn’t Afraid . Through this challenge, she discovered that “Sometimes a sense of humor is a key ingredient for moving forward and enjoying the moment, no matter how embarrassing . ..” Her charming story might even stir a hidden desire to challenge yourself with a unfulfilled dream. Read What Would I Do If I Wasn’t Afraid , another wonderful “tale” entered into the Tales2Inspire Authors Helping Authors project.

About loiswstern

I was in education for just over 20 years when I unexpectedly pursued another passion and entered the world of authors and journalists. I have since published two non-fiction, full length books on different aspects of beauty, but also avidly endorse the confluence of Inner and Outer beauty. I have written feature articles for Long Island Beauty Guide and LI Woman, and have served as Editor-at-large for, the largest Internet site for plastic surgery and beauty needs. I enjoy researching what's new in the world of aesthetics & anti-aging and devote one of my blogs: to sharing cutting edge, hype-free information. I devote my second blog to my other passion: writing, collecting and sharing stories to warm the spirit and inspire the soul. To this end, I have created an 'Authors Helping Authors' project/contest, to create books for inspiration, the first of which is titled: Tales 2 Inspire ~ Beyond Coincidence. It is a jewel of a book, filled with inspiring stories and full color original photos and/or drawings. If you're a talented writer with one inspiring story to share, visit to learn how to participate. FREE to enter. All you need is the talent and perseverance to do so. Lots of positive platform building opportunities for the winners. Learn more at:

  1. I often find fear is the only thing that holds you back in life. If you get over whatever it is you fear then you can pretty much do anything. People who climb free standing structures without safety equipment obviously have no fear because if they had, the emotion would hold them back and they wouldn’t be able to do it.

  2. I often find that fear is the only thing to hold you back in this life. People who push themselves to achieve ambitious and daring things obviously have no fear because if they had, the emotion would hold them back and they wouldn’t be able to achieve the things they do.

  3. this reminds me of part of lululemon’s manifesto that i saw as i walked to lunch yesterday – “do 1 thing a day that scares you.” i thought, “that scares me!” 1 thing, EVERY day? i mean, @ this point, the things that scare me r kinda big things, like my fear of heights. yet, i do realize how freeing it is 2 do the things that strike fear n us. i recently shared my feelings w/ a friend, not knowing how he would react. despite my nerves, i felt incredibly relieved . . . & empowered after doing so. i suppose i’ll do more of that, but i’m not quite ready to skydive 😉
